A 10-Day Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Itinerary

A perfect Amalfi Coast honeymoon splits ten days between Positano and Ravello, with day trips to Capri and a slow finish on the water — timing dinners for the moment the coast turns gold. Here’s the itinerary we’d book again.

The 10-day plan

  • Days 1–4 — Positano. Settle into the cliffside town, beach mornings, boat trip to the fishing village of Nerano for lunch, and sunset from a clifftop terrace.
  • Days 5–7 — Ravello. Higher, quieter, greener. The Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone gardens have the best views on the whole coast.
  • Days 8–9 — Capri (day or overnight). The Blue Grotto, a chairlift up Monte Solaro, and an aperitivo in the Piazzetta.
  • Day 10 — Slow finish. A private boat afternoon along the coast before you fly home.

Where to stay

Book a sea-view or sunset-facing room — it’s the upgrade that matters here, since you’ll spend every evening on the terrace. Browse Amalfi hotels →

Tip: the coast road is slow and winding. Use ferries between towns where you can — they're faster, calmer, and give you the coastline from the water.

Make it romantic

Time one dinner in Positano for sunset, book a private boat for another day, and don’t over-schedule — the Amalfi Coast rewards long lunches. See more honeymoon destinations for sunset lovers, find your sunset-view hotel, or browse all romantic escapes.
